Hello World!
this is the first post here at Dare to Wear Love.
we are going to use the power of fashion to change the world, specifically to raise awareness and money to fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic in sub-saharan Africa. We are going to do this in partnership with the Stephen Lewis Foundation (www.stephenlewisfoundation.org).
In October of 2009 we had our first event – an awesome fashion show featuring 24 of Canada’s top fashion designers and starring some amazing celebrity models (Jully Black!, Jesse Cruickshank!, Olivia Chow!) and featuring the awesome Nathaniel Dett Chorale, the Group Soumé drummers as well as a cast of gorgeous models.
We are now starting to gear up for the next show – 10 months away in October 2010.
